BaneBranchen, in collaboration with Banedanmark, invites students and employees from member companies to an exclusive company visit combining strategy, operations, and career perspectives within the Danish railway sector.
The programme includes a presentation on the Comprehensive Plan – Banedanmark’s overall strategy for the future development of the railway in the Greater Copenhagen area. The presentation will provide insight into how capacity, punctuality, and robustness are planned and managed in one of the most complex and heavily trafficked parts of the Danish railway network.
Participants will also be given a guided tour of the corridors at the Traffic Tower, the central traffic control centre, where train operations across large parts of Zealand are monitored and managed in real time. Thousands of daily train movements are coordinated around the clock, making the centre a crucial hub for safe and efficient railway operations. This part of the visit will be conducted in two separate groups.
Exclusively for students (Group 1), the visit includes a targeted presentation on opportunities to collaborate with Banedanmark through study projects, thesis work, graduate programmes, and student jobs. The session concludes with a Q&A, offering the opportunity to ask direct questions about technical fields, project topics, and career paths within infrastructure and railway operations.
Other participants (Group 2) will instead have the opportunity for networking and/or an extended Q&A session on the Comprehensive Plan.
The guided tour will be conducted in English if non-Danish-speaking participants attend. There is space for a maximum of 2 × 20 participants. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration deadline: Wednesday, 18 February
Date and time: Thursday, 26 February, 17:00–20:00
